Movies

We invite you to the "Sengirės Cinema" at the Kupiškis Public Library!

A project combining cinema and environmental protection invites you to a screening of the documentary "Border Wolves" (dir. Martin Páv, Czech Republic) and an encounter with nature.

  • When: October 15 (Wednesday) 1:00 p.m.

  • Where: Kupiškis Public Library

  • Price: Free (those who wish can support the "Sengirės Fund")

About the film: The film tells the story of wolves returning to the Czech forests after more than 200 years and the conflict between the local population. It is a sensitive story about man's relationship with wildlife, the desire to control it, and the question: can we learn to live alongside them?

Special guest: The film's themes will be brought to life in Lithuania by tracking expert, nature guide, and member of the Baltic Wolf Association, Tomas Selickas , who will talk about Lithuanian wolves, their ecology, and our attitude towards them.
