Kazys Simonis Park

 

The park is named after the fellow-countryman painter, graphic artist’s Kazys Simonis. It is prevailed of oaks, pines and birches plantations. There are stadiums of football and volleyball. The park is crossed by Kazys Simonis street. The southern part of Kazys Simonis Park is also known as Raciupis Park. There flows the Raciupis rivulet, from which is formed a small pond into which the bridge is laid. At the end of the illuminated bridge at night, stands the sculptor’s Henrikas Orakauskas unveiled in 2005 sculpture fountain “The Balts World Tree”. This is one of the most popular attractions in Kupiskis city. Next to there are paths, flower beds and original benches decorated with metal birds.
