Henrikas Orakauskas was born and grew up in Vyžuonos (Utena district), not far away from Kupiškis. He has lived and worked in Kupiškis between 1986-2004. The sculptor’s creative work is very diverse: metal, wooden and stone sculpture, drawings and graphics. Currently the town is adorned with over twenty pieces of this sculptor‘s art. “The World Tree of the Balts”, „Lėvuo and Kupa“, “Descending Angel”, “Mercury”, “Shake it, little lamb” – the most impressive sculptures. This "Open-air museum" is one of the most original tourist routes, revealing the unique face of Kupiškis town. Only by seeing these sculptures live you can feel the uniqueness of the town.
