Son-in-law's Shelter

Nature

Kupiškis Lagoon is famous not only for the isle of Mother-in-law's Tongue, but also for another isle that is of similar size and also has a witty name – Son-in-law's Shelter. This isle belongs to the Bagdonys recreational area. Unlike in the case of the isle of Mother-in-law's Tongue, the isle of Son-in-law's Shelter can only be accessed by water – the pontoon raft has been installed for this purpose. It is necessary to have strong (preferably tarpaulin) gloves with you, because pulling the rope with your bare hands is both uncomfortable and can injure you. Getting to the island by pontoon raft can be called a kind of exercise or a fun attraction. For the perfect rest in nature you will find gazebos, benches and fireplaces. There is a small parking lot on the shore of the lagoon, next to the pontoon raft pier.
